Meet our people

Team SA consists of industry professionals who have extensive and in-depth experience in music and sound engineering and information technology. We supply recording equipment across India to leading (and budding) musicians, recording studios, production houses, etc. “Sudeep” is not any person’s name in the family of the founders. Sudeep is a Hindi word meaning “pure light”.

Meet our team and get to know them better (the list below is in order of ‘seniority’).

(late) Nikhil Mehta :
Nikhil, the youngest grandson of Sir Lallubhai Samaldas, earned his Master of Science in Inorganic Chemistry from the Royal Institute of Science (Elphinstone College), Mumbai, graduating as the university topper. From a young age, Nikhil was deeply drawn to electronics, audio engineering, and music.

A self-taught sound engineer, he established Sudeep Studio – one of India’s first professional sound recording studio based out of a home – at his house at Lallubhai Park, Andheri (W), Mumbai in 1977. He handled innumerable recordings with (now) renowned artists before moving to Ahmedabad in the mid-1990s.  Almost until he passed away on September 2, 2021 (at the age of 86), Nikhil managed Sudeep Audio’s YouTube channel: #converSAtions

Nikhil was posthumously awarded at 17th IRAA Awards ceremony (Nov 2024) for “Lifetime Achievement Award for contribution to Audio Recording“.

Sunil Mehta :
A commerce graduate from Narsee Monjee College, (Mumbai University, Sunil (nephew, but more like Nikhil’s eldest son) began his career at Sudeep Studio and worked as a sound engineer on several notable recordings in the 1980s like the evergreen Bamboo Beats album. He later managed the cassette and CD replication business of Sudeep Electronics at our Fort office, serving prestigious clients across India.

Today, he runs his own company, Universal Trading, which supplies specialised construction chemicals to top builders in Mumbai and beyond. While not directly involved with SudeepAudio.com, Sunil’s values and support continue to inspire our work.

Hetal Trivedi :
Hetal is an experienced software engineer who developed the initial core back-end infrastructure of the SudeepAudio.com webstore ex-gratis. He owns Thym Infoware, a successful web application development company based in Ahmedabad, India, serving clients across the globe.

Aditya Mehta :
Aditya holds a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad, where he topped Gujarat University, and simultaneously ranked first in the GNIIT computer programming course at NIIT, Ahmedabad. He later earned an MBA in Marketing from NMiMS, Mumbai — one of India’s premier business schools.

After a brief stint in the corporate world, Aditya followed his passion for music and entrepreneurship. In 1999, along with his father, Nikhil Mehta, he co-founded SudeepAudio.com — India’s first online store for professional audio recording equipment.

In 2007, Aditya co-founded Philtre Labs with Bollywood composers Salim and Sulaiman Merchant – and together they created the world’s first sample library company focused on the iconic “Bollywood” sound. At the  6th IRAA Awards ceremony, SudeepAudio.com was awarded as India’s Best Pro Audio Dealer.

A passionate advocate for music education and intellectual property rights, Aditya also occasionally writes for the column “An Unequal Music” for PALM Technology magazine. He represents India as Brand Ambassador for IMSTA (International Music Software Trade Association), a Canada-based non-profit supported by leading global music software brands.

Aditya is also the host of “converSAtions with musicians and sound engineers” – a widely followed YouTube channel featuring in-depth interviews with some of India’s most respected music creators.

Prachi also holds a degree in Statistics from St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad, and an MBA in Marketing from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar. Before joining Sudeep Audio in 2007, Prachi gained over eight years of experience in retail banking with ANZ Grindlays in Ahmedabad and Standard Chartered Bank in Mumbai.

As a consultant at Sudeep Audio, Prachi oversees administrative operations, and also leads the #SAvings investment services, offering personalised financial solutions for individual clients.

Jigna Shah Oza :
A graduate of Sophia’s Design School, Mumbai, Jigna is a skilled Design Consultant at SA. With over 20 years of experience, she has won prestigious awards and made a significant impact in the corporate sector.

A hard-working designer, Jigna created the brand identity for SA in 2011. She continues to design other creatives for the company’s YouTube channel, social media platforms, brands extensions, and more.

Nimish Bhatt :
Nimish is our IT in-charge, responsible for website maintenance and technical support for all iMPRESSiONZ clients, including renowned composers like Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

In 2025, he led the complete revamp of the SudeepAudio.com webstore, delivering a smoother user experience and a more robust back-end infrastructure. Nimish continues to manage the site’s functionality and performance, ensuring it stays updated with new features and seamless services.

Tushar More :
Tushar is the online Store Manager at SA. He oversees customer support, logistics, telephone enquiries, and coordinates deliveries for all hardware orders, ensuring a smooth and timely experience for our customers.
