The DT 72 IE is designed for guitarists and vocalists who demand the highest sound quality. Its subtle bass provides a stable foundation without overpowering the low frequencies. The optimised frequency response (200–500 Hz) prevents the occlusion effect that occurs when an in-ear headphone seals the ear canal. Slightly elevated upper mids enhance the presence of guitar and vocals, while refined treble delivers brilliance without harshness.

The heart of the DT 72 IE is the TESLA.11 driver system, crafted in Germany and superior to conventional balanced armature systems. It delivers outstanding detail resolution with minimal distortion (THD: 0.02%). Thanks to its high impulse fidelity, acoustic events are reproduced with precision.
